The Perfect Wedding Venue
Your search for a perfect venue has led you to the Cameron Estate Inn so we would like to take a few minutes to point out the differences between our venue and other wedding venues in our area. For over a decade we have solicited feedback from past bridal clients, made annual property and package improvements, and considered everything you will need to create and enjoy a perfect wedding day. We have tried to create an ideal wedding venue and we think you will agree that we have a lot to offer. That said, if you think we have missed something, we would love to hear about it!
We have no facility site fee and have designed our wedding package to be all inclusive. This means that the basic package includes everything you need to have a lovely event at a single, simple to understand price. That price is subject to an industry standard 20% service fee and 6% Pennsylvania state sales tax. There are no hidden costs or fees. We set up your chairs, provide your linens, cut your cake and clean up the aftermath (within reason) without taking your last nickel and dime. We have tried to create packages that are realistic for budget-minded brides as well as more extravagant offerings for those fortunate enough to not be bound by their purse strings.
Recognizing that many groups have large families and big wedding guest lists we have tried to create a pricing model that offers large groups a break in pricing. We think our large group discount does just that. At full capacity of 275, our large group discount pricing model gives you 35 of those guests free of charge. That is a very generous discount of almost 13%.
We offer non-Saturday incentives as well as off-season pricing breaks. We try to give something back to the community by offering discounts to members of the military and those that serve our community like school teachers, firemen and police officers as a gesture of appreciation for their service.

We have created a wedding pricing model that is easy to understand and simple to figure out how much your total event will cost. Our transparent package price includes all costs for standard tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, barware, flatware, cake cutting, setup, teardown, hors d'Oeuvres, and full meal service including a non-alcoholic beverage option. Most groups like the convenience of hosting the wedding ceremony at the same location as the wedding reception. It simplifies the day for you and your wedding guests. To facilitate this we have constructed two formal outdoor wedding ceremony gardens for you to choose from. Many couples like to have water near their ceremony site. The Donegal Spring Garden utilizes the Donegal Spring and Reflecting Pool as the backdrop for your event. Entrance to the Spring Garden in gained by crossing Donegal Creek over a quaint stone bridge. Most wedding groups find the natural beauty of the spring setting to be adequate decoration for their wedding ceremony. It is hard to compete with the beauty that nature has provided, so you can take advantage of this and save your ceremony decorating dollars for other things.
Our Gazebo Garden features an antique cast iron gazebo imported from France. The elevated gazebo provides the perfect stage for your ceremony in full view of your friends and family. The natural park-like setting of our property lends itself to a more casually elegant and relaxed event. Our wedding venue is like a simple black dress; it can be dressed up or down to suit your particular taste.
Recognizing that the single most stressful aspect of planning a future outdoor wedding event is worrying about what the weather will be like that day, we have constructed an elegant Conservatory that is yours to use (at no extra cost beyond the per person pricing) in the event of inclement weather. Having that backup option identified at the outset of your planning process will eliminate a lot of stress and anxiety. We allow you to wait until the day of the event to decide on the final ceremony location so you can take the weather into consideration for your final decision.
If a church wedding is a priority then you need not worry. Located right next door is the Donegal Presbyterian Church. A beautiful country church built in 1740 and they are more than happy to perform a wedding ceremony for non-members. You can also bring your own officiator to their facility if you prefer.
Wedding Reception Area
We typically have two types of groups looking for a wedding ceremony and reception area. Younger couples getting married for the first time are typically hosting a larger event with dinner followed by a dance party. Then we have our more mature couples who have either waited to get married or are taking another trip down the aisle. Frequently dancing is not as much of a priority for these groups; they are typically searching for a location where they can share an intimate ceremony with a few close friends and family and sit down to share a nice meal. We have reception areas that suit the needs of both groups.
Our Carriage House Banquet Wedding Facility can accommodate up to 275 guests with a dance floor. It is setup to accommodate a DJ or band and is the perfect location for the dance party. There is more than adequate area for dancing as well as guest tables. We have a variety of floor plans that illustrate how the space can accommodate various sized group along with a dance floor and anything else you will need. The space has adequate heating and cooling and the lighting dims for photographs and dancing. The restrooms are large and clean with a wall of large mirrors in the ladies room. There is adequate parking for any large group. We provide a changing space for the bride and groomsmen to get ready. We allow early access to the reception area for you to put out your decorations. We offer a choice of three served dinner packages or a buffet / station package. Packages start at $58 per person.
Our Restaurant space is more conducive to smaller groups of 90 or less who may or may not need a dance floor. This is the perfect wedding spot for couples that appreciate the historic ambiance of the Inn. The main dining room can seat up to 50 and the adjoining sun porch dining room can seat up to an additional 40. Our intimate package is the perfect wedding package for smaller groups. This package includes a, full open bar, hors d'Oeuvres and a full meal service. And, there is an option to add overtime and dancing in the Conservatory after the formal meal service has concluded.
If photography is important to you then we think you will be hard-pressed to find another venue that has better wedding photo opportunities. Our fifteen acres of park-like property in Lancaster county abounds with wondrous gigantic trees, two trout streams that wind through the property with four bridges, a historic mansion with wonderful architectural elements, details and a large front porch, a gated entrance, a meandering drive, an antique French gazebo, a spectacular Conservatory featuring an enormous carved white marble fireplace and glittering French empire chandeliers. If this is not enough to tempt you then we also offer the use of the church property next door. They allow our clients to use the spring and reflecting pool for outdoor photos as well. We allow up to 2 hours of pre-ceremony photography to ensure you get as many pictures as you like. The Inn provides great indoor photo opportunities as well for groups renting rooms, just in case it rains. We have lots of sample photo albums to showcase our property and the work of photographers we recommend. This is a great way to see what the property looks like during a particular season and also helps you find a wedding photographer whose style you like. We provide a preferred vendor list to help you find a photographer, musicians, a baker, a florist and a ceremony officiator. We want to assist you to build the perfect team to execute your event.
Many of our clients find us through our fine dining restaurant. We are Zagat-Rated and regularly receive excellent reviews for our food. We invite you to dine with us and sample what we have to offer. Our restaurant is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday by reservation. Our season dinner menu is online at our restaurant. Our wedding packages are put together for the convenience of our clients but they typically act as a starting point for discussion. We are happy to customize the package to your taste and style. If there is something in particular that you are looking for then do not be afraid to ask. We can also assist you with the selection of an appropriate bar package for your particular group.
Our historic inn has 18 guest rooms for the convenience of your family and guests. The inn can sleep about 40 guests overnight. Typically this is enough for the bridal couple, their immediate families and their bridal party. There are other hotels close by and we can recommend a local shuttle company for your other guest's safety and convenience.
Property Access Time
We try to look at the event from our client's perspective. What is important to them? We think that key among priorities is the ability to accomplish everything that needs to be done on your wedding day without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. To that end we try to be flexible with regard to arrival time and to provide sufficient access to the property for preparation, decoration and photography. We have developed detailed itineraries that illustrate how that is handled. We have partnered with local salons to address hair and makeup needs as well. We provide recommendations for vendors that we know are familiar with our facility.

We have been in the hospitality business for a long time and have come to recognize one truth. People are generally about as happy as they choose to be. Our staff has over sixty years of combined event planning experience and we have put that experience to good use in designing and implementing our detailed planning process. Our proprietary bridal planner is currently thirty pages in length and reflects the experience and lessons learned by our professional staff. We have designed this wedding planning process with our clients in mind to make sure every detail of their event is thoughtfully addressed, documented and then executed. We have made this planning process simple for our clients to understand and work through. This is all included in our packages at no additional cost.
We are starting our thirteenth year and host about one hundred weddings each year. As a venue we have dealt with a lot of brides and this has given us the opportunity to help hundreds of couples with their event.
